Annabel Scheme Remix

Backstory, in brief:
Robin Sloan wrote an excellent novella called Annabel Scheme.  This novella was financed completely by backers on Kickstarter, and released under a Cre­ative Com­mons Attribution-​​NonCommercial 3.0 US license.  In an effort to promote collaboration, Robin used part of the Kickstarter backing money to commission ‘remixes’ of his work (taking the themes, characters, story elements, etc. and moving them into different forms of art and media).  Thanks to the efforts of Becca, I became involved in this project, and was tasked with bringing one of the story elements (a song about love and quantum physics) into the real world!

This is the acoustic sketch of the song.  A YouTube video (featuring Joan Hoedeman!) will be forthcoming with a multitracked electropop-meets-Casiocore final version, but I wanted to get this out into the public as quickly as possible.

I’ll put the lyrics and further explanation in a separate post, but the key things to note are that Robin described the song as having lyrics about “love and quantum physics” and that there is a lot of whistling on the song.

It’s awesome when things you set into motion come full circle! :D
